Eggs in cardboard egg carton
For easy peeling of a boiled egg, transfer it from the pan to a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process. Tap it a few times, then roll it on a work surface to break the shell completely. Start peeling, dunking the egg in the water as you go to wash away any bits of shell.
