Malted Frozen Hot Chocolate

Serendipity, a New York City restaurant featured in the romantic comedy of the same name, introduced us to the magic that is frozen hot chocolate. Not for the faint of heart, this supremely chocolatey drink is about equivalent to sipping on a melted chocolate bar—and we're not mad about it. It's frosty and decadent, and tastes just like hot chocolate (only chillier). For a tasty twist, we used malted milk powder to make it even more irresistible (you can find malted milk powder next to other powdered milk mixes in the supermarket). If you'd like, you can substitute unsweetened cocoa powder. We suggest topping the drink with homemade whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Or, pour into shot glasses and serve to a crowd during the holidays.
