Now that the summer vacation season is over, the travel world dips into a slower period—and airlines are prone to offering great flight deals to entice people into booking impromptu getaways.
That seems to be what’s happening right now with a new sale from JetBlue. The airline is officially listing flights departing this fall starting for as little as $39 each way on routes such as Las Vegas to Long Beach, and $84 between Detroit and Fort Lauderdale.
Those would be pretty good deals. But in several instances we were able to find fares that were even cheaper than the ones listed by JetBlue. For example, with quick searches at JetBlue’s website, we found tons of departures for only $29 on flights between Las Vegas and Long Beach, and prices as low as $49 between Detroit and Fort Lauderdale. Yes, a round trip flight from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale (or vice versa) can be had this autumn for under $100 total, with all mandatory fees and taxes included. That’s dirt cheap.
Below are some of the fares listed by JetBlue—and remember, bear in mind that you might be able to find even cheaper prices when you’re booking tickets. For the best prices, book quickly (deadline for lowest sale prices is September 8), travel midweek when demand is low, and complete all travel by December 15.
