Airbnb Shark Bedroom

Here’s your chance to get up close and personal with sharks, if you dare. Each month, Airbnb hosts a “Night At” contest, where people can enter to win a night’s stay in an iconic location. Past destinations have included a stay at Ellis Island or Fenway Park. But this month’s locale might be the craziest one yet—a stay for two in a 360-degree underwater bedroom in the Shark Aquarium at the Aquarium de Paris, which is right in front of the Eiffel Tower.

The trip package includes a meet-and-greet with host Fred Buyle, a world record-breaking free diver, underwater photographer, and overall shark enthusiast. Buyle will take the lucky winners on a tour of the aquarium and give them a lesson in everything they could want to know about sharks and more. Amenities in the underwater bedroom include a circular bed, essential toiletries like shampoo, and breakfast the day after. Like any Airbnb, there are some rules, including no selfies after dark and a recommendation to avoid a viewing of Jaws before your stay.

To enter the contest, you need to send a description of no more than 550 words “about yourself, where you live, and why you belong with the sharks” by April 3. Three winners will be selected to spend the night between April 11 and 13—if you’re not local, Airbnb will fly you out to Paris for this adventure.
