Apple iOS updates always seem fun with their new emojis and advanced tech features—but some users have claimed that they also tend to slow down the phone and shorten its battery life. But the tech giant announced today that its newest software release would give users the best of both worlds: fun features and improved control over battery and performance. IOS 11.3 will be released sometime this spring, and will work on iPhone 5s and later, all iPad Air and Pros, iPad 5th generation, iPad mini 2 and later, as well as iPod touch 6th generation. Have a device that can be updated? Take a look below at some of the cool features that you’ll be able to download soon enough.

New Animojis

Lucky enough to have an iPhone X? You’ll get four new Animoji to do karaoke with this spring! A lion, bear, dragon, and skull join the lineup, giving users 16 different characters to choose from.

Business Chat

If gaining up the courage to call customer service is the bane of your existence, iOS 11.3’s new business chat feature will come as a nice surprise. Through Messages, users can chat with customer service representatives from businesses like Discover, Hilton, Lowe’s and Wells Fargo. Schedule an appointment, explore products, and purchase using Apple Pay—all using the same platform you use to text your bff.

Battery Help

The update will unleash more control over your battery life, so you’re met with fewer unexpected shutdowns. Not only will your battery settings now tell you how “healthy” your battery is, it will also tell you if you need to get it replaced. Feeling like your phone is running a little slow? You can now turn off the dynamic power management feature that slows your phone down to preserve battery life if you want your system to always be running at top speed.

Health Records

Have multiple personal health records from different health care providers? Combine them all in one space using Apple’s new Health Records feature. Choose to receive notifications and reminders about your medications and conditions—it’s all encrypted and passcode protected so you don’t have to worry about your personal information getting into the wrong hands.
