Amazon Prime Just Added an Awesome New Perk
Another reason to become a member.
Readers rejoice! On Wednesday, Amazon announced that it was adding another service to its $99-per-year Prime membership bundle: the ability to borrow more than 1,000 books, magazines, comics, and more. The new service, called Prime Reading, is already live on Amazon.
Readers don’t even need a Kindle to enjoy the new service, because Amazon has made Prime Reading available on any e-Reader device. This is the latest in a slew of new benefits enjoyed by Prime members, including a same-day meal-delivery service released this summer. Readers can borrow up to 10 titles at once, and the current book selection includes Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, The Hobbit, and The Man in the High Castle (which Amazon adapted into an original series for its service). The service also hosts more than 40 magazine titles, including National Geographic and Vogue, as well as People, Sports Illustrated, Sunset, and Entertainment Weekly (which are all owned by Time Inc., the same parent company as Real Simple).
You can try the new service now at amazon.com/primereading.
