Though your advent calendar is counting down to Christmas, there’s another, often overlooked holiday worth celebrating in December. It’s National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, and it falls on Friday, Dec. 15.

There are a variety of ways to celebrate the holiday, from an ugly Christmas sweater run to ugly Christmas sweater parties. But honestly, we’re most excited about the free food and perks.

Chipotle is kicking off the festivities early by offering free queso to anyone who wears their "cheesiest" holiday sweater on Tuesday, December 12. (If you miss this deal, don't stress—homemade queso is even better).

On Friday, stop by your local Krispy Kreme. If you buy one dozen donuts, they’ll give you an additional Original Glazed dozen for free. (Your co-workers will thank you). Wondering how donuts relate to sweaters? If your sweater is well-worn, both have holes in them.

And if you’ve booked a flight on Alaska Airlines, you’re in luck: wear your comfiest ugly Christmas sweater to the airport, and you’ll get to board the flight early. The promotion applies to passengers and employees across their entire network, which includes Alaska, Virgin America, and Horizon Air flights. Passengers will also be treated to holiday-themed boarding music throughout the month of December.

"Travel during the holidays can be stressful for guests, especially those who do not travel often," Natalie Bowman, managing director of marketing and advertising at Alaska Airlines, said in a statement. "This fun promotion not only allows guests to board early on that day, but gives people another opportunity to dust off that ugly holiday sweater hanging in the back of their closet."

Guests are invited to post their photos using the hashtags #UglySweaterDay and #MostWestCoast.
