Sang An

One of the tackiest things about me and some of the people I love most in the world is that we really like to chew gum. It is without question an awful, nonsensical, slightly bovine habit that I'm just not willing to break. I think chewing gum is in my top 25 of enjoyable things I do on a regular basis. Which is either sad or wonderful, depending on how you look at it.

Anyway, of course I chew sugarless gum, because 4 out of 5 dentists blah blah blah. But I do wonder what all that aspartame is doing to my insides. And then when I have a day like today, a day of Diet Coke and gum chewing in quick succession, I truly worry about my future.

Can you have aspartame every single day and still live to be 100? Can you even be 100 and still chew gum? Suddenly, two new things to worry about.
