If you're anything like me, New Year's resolutions are fun to make but hard to execute. I love setting new personal goals, regardless of the season, but if I'm being honest, I struggle to hold myself accountable. After all, I'm a distractible Enneagram type seven, who gets trapped in the excitement of activities but often sets too many of them to keep up. So this year, I'm changing my mindset and utilizing a few key products to help me achieve these goals.

Whether it's logging more hours on a yoga mat, getting better sleep, or starting a new hobby, I've found that my goals are easily achieved if I enjoy the activity, and if it goes along with a product that's cute and convenient. From a floral planner to sleek ankle weights, a sunrise alarm clock, and my can't-live-without Apple Watch, these products are my go-tos for getting things done.

Since I was in middle school, I've always been glued to my planner. While I could set deadlines and events on my phone, there's something about writing each one down and crossing it off that makes the tasks much more satisfying. This 17-month planner has a thoughtful outline that features lined sections for daily events, a monthly calendar, and areas to jot down to-dos, celebrations, save the dates, birthdays and anniversaries, and notes—so it's perfect for writing down and maintaining my goals. Along with tracking my deadlines and schedule for work and big events, I've also started recording my daily workouts, recipes, and self-care routines to hold me accountable in all facets of my life.

Apple Watch SE

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I completely credit the Apple Watch for motivating me to workout everyday. Even though I'm an externally motivated person, I still struggled to get to the gym or hit my yoga mat on my own. When I got the watch, I was shocked to see that the sparkly rings and gold stars at the end of the week were enough to get me working out consistently—sounds pathetic, but it worked! It tracks my steps, calories burned, heart rate, and completed workouts. I can set health competitions with friends and family for a motivational boost, and it's even made me a more responsive texter.

Hydro Flask 32-Ounce Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Hydro Flask 32 oz Wide Mouth with Straw Lid Stainless Steel Reusable Water Bottle

It's no secret that drinking a lot of water is crucial for your health, and for a while I used to drink two to three glasses a day, well below the doctor-recommended amount. Thanks to the 32-ounce Hydro Flask, I now regularly drink two and a half water bottles daily because it keeps the temperature ice cold for hours. It's dishwasher safe, comfortable to hold, and easy to drink out of the attached straw. Most ice cube sizes fit in the water bottle and it comes in several cute colors.

Hatch Restore Sunrise Alarm Clock

Hatch Restore - Sound Machine, Smart Light, Personal Sleep Routine, Bedside Reading Light, Wind Down Content and Sunrise Alarm Clock
amazon.com

Some of my goals for 2022 include going to bed earlier, reading more, and practicing meditation more regularly, and the Hatch Restore is helping me accomplish all three. When the brand sent me their clock to test, I set my customizable bedtime routine to include a 30-minute reading light, a 10-minute guided meditation (offered through a separate subscription), and an ocean soundscape. In the morning, I wake up to a warm and gentle light, along with the sound of chirping birds, which is much more pleasant than a blaring phone alarm. It even sends me a notification at 10 p.m. when it's time for bed. I no longer scroll through my phone before bed, and with the meditations, I can feel my body getting heavy into the mattress as I fall asleep faster with minimal intrusive thoughts.

SuperGoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40

My skincare goal for this year is to wear sunscreen every single day. I know it's basically beauty rule number one, but most formulas irritate my skin or leave a greasy finish that's impossible to pair with makeup, so I usually skip the step altogether. The SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen, however, has a clear finish and primer-like texture that's designed to hold onto makeup. It has an oil-free SPF 40 formula that's water-resistant, so I can wear it confidently in all climates. Plus, it's free of harmful chemicals that are commonly found in sunscreen and other cosmetic products.

BlendJet 2 Personal Blender

The most important meal of the day happens to be the one I always skip. I know I shouldn't pass on it, but I find it too time consuming and I'm not the biggest fan of eggs. So when the brand BlendJet offered to send me a personal blender, I figured if this gadget couldn't get me to make myself breakfast, then nothing would. To my surprise, the mini machine blends smoothies in seconds. It's completely cordless and charges via a USB-C port, so I can take it on the go. The brand also has a variety of smoothie packets, protein smoothies, and lattes that are easy to blend with water or milk. Needless to say, they're making my goal of eating breakfast easy to manage.

Bala Bangles Ankle Weights

My daily workouts were starting to feel a little lackluster, making it difficult to keep up with a mundane routine. These weighted bangles prove that I can keep my goals consistent as long as I have a cute accessory. I use the 1 pound weights for everything like yoga, strength training, barre, pilates, and even walks. You can also use them for water aerobics. The adjustable weights fit easily on my ankles and wrists, and since they're made of stainless steel that's coated in silicone instead of sand, the weights are sleek enough to wear during everyday activities.

Amazon Kindle 10th Generation

Kindle - With a Built-in Front Light

I'm a long time paperback lover, but I must admit that the Kindle has upped my reading game. With glare-free display settings and the capability to hold thousands of books, the e-reader is my favorite bedside and travel companion. It has adjustable light settings and a battery life that lasts up to four weeks, helping me reach my ambitious goal of reading one book a week.

Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven

Lastly, this kitchen must-have is not just a one-pot wonder, it also plays a leading role in reducing my weeknight takeout habit. The Lodge enameled cast iron dutch oven expertly browns meat and sautés vegetables in a cinch. It helps me get creative in the kitchen with healthy recipes and saves my wallet from tempting DoorDash orders—plus, the nonstick coating is a breeze to clean; it's a win-win-win.
