Looking to start a new career this year? Don’t wander around aimlessly—take a look at Glassdoor’s latest survey for some inspiration. The job and recruiting site just released its annual 50 Best Jobs in America for 2017. Glassdoor ranks jobs by their overall job score (out of five), based upon the number of job openings available, median base salary, and overall satisfaction.

For the second year in a row, Data Scientist took the top prize with an overall job score of 4.8 out of 5. Those entering the field can appreciate the abundance of opportunities—more than 4,000 jobs are currently listed. These jobs are also relatively well paying—the median base salary is $110,000. And those looking to leave their soul-sucking desk jobs will be happy to know that data scientists are happy with their careers. The position scored 4.4 out of 5 on the job satisfaction scale.

The only caveat? Most positions require a degree in mathematics, statistics, or computer science. So, maybe a master of science or Ph.D. is out of reach for you now. But a college freshmen deciding on a major could still benefit.
