One week after meeting on a blind date, the Holocaust survivors wed―and they haven’t regretted a day of their union.
Both Holocaust survivors, 33-year-old New York City factory manager Ben met Stella, 23, on a blind date―his first of two blind dates that night―while on vacation in Tel Aviv. Two nights later, Ben, now 84, proposed, and they wed a week later. The Miami, Florida couple, who has two children, “We don’t sweat the small stuff,” says Stella, 74. “What Ben and I endured early on taught us that peace and a good heart are the most important things.” Video by Gillian Laub.
