Baby name-focused site Nameberry just released its list.
It seems like the trend of parents giving their children new, unique names might be ending. Nameberry, a website devoted to helping new and expecting parents research names for their new child, just released their list of the most popular baby names for this year, and more classic names are popular than ever.
According to the site, Olivia and Atticus are the most popular baby names of 2017. The list is based on the popularity of a name’s page from nearly 250 million page views from parents searching on the site. The site claims that this is “a predictor of which names will become more popular in the future.” Other classic names on the list include Amelia and Charlotte for girls, and Jack, Theodore, Oliver, and Henry for boys.
This year, the top 10 names for boys include three new additions from last year: Theodore, Jasper, and Henry. On the girl’s list, there are three new additions, too: Cora, Maia, and Amara.
