On this year’s Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair, Oprah and Reese Witherspoon were honored with the cover shot taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, alongside other top stars, including Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, and others. When the cover came out, Witherspoon said on Instagram that she was proud to be included, but on Twitter, she couldn’t help but laugh about the Photoshop fail she noticed.

“Well...I guess everybody knows now...I have 3 legs. I hope you can still accept me for who I am,” Witherspoon captioned the tweet, referring to what looks like a third limb appearing under the actress’s dress. Luckily, she has a sense of humor about the mishap, adding the aside: “(and I will never apologize for snuggling @Oprah .. if you get the opportunity, I highly recommend it;),” echoing her comments about Oprah’s hugs when she introduced the star before she accepted her Cecil B. de Mille Award at the Golden Globes.

Upon closer inspection, it was noticed that not only did Witherspoon appear to have three legs, but it seems Oprah has three hands. One rests on her lap, one is on her hip, and a third appears around Witherspoon’s waist. Again, the stars decided to laugh it off, with Oprah tweeting back at Witherspoon: “I accept your 3d leg. As I know you accept my 3d hand.”

And in turn, Vanity Fair also decided to recognize the mistake with some humor by tweeting, “While we would have loved the exclusive on @RWitherspoon’s three legs, unfortunately it’s just the lining of her dress. As for @Oprah, how can we expect her to juggle it all with just two hands? (We are correcting this error online).” Lessons learned: Be careful when using Photoshop, and sometimes, humor is the best fix.
