If the only "football players" you really care about are the dogs participating in the Puppy Bowl, then you'll probably enjoy how Uber is kicking off this weekend's festivities. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, Uber users in select cities can request a squad of puppies to be delivered straight to their doors.

Uber teamed up with Animal Planet for the second annual #UberPuppyBowl, which will take place in Chicago, D.C., Denver, L.A., New York, Phoenix, and San Francisco. According to the press release, users can pay $30 for 15 minutes of playtime and cuddling, and the money will be donated to participating shelters. In most of the cities, the puppies will also be available for adoption. To request a visit, users should select the "PUPPIES" option in the Uber app—though they should prepare to be patient, as demand will likely be high. The company also suggests that office buildings set aside a designated room for puppy playtime.

Last year, the Uber Puppy Bowl raised more than $12,000 for participating shelters, and more than 70 puppies were adopted in just four hours. Looking to justify your urge to take one home? Here are five health reasons you need a pet in your life.
