If you grew up in the 1990's, it’s safe to say that the Spice Girls were not only a major staple in your CD player but fashion icons. I mean, who didn’t want to be the Posh Spice of your friend group?

According to TMZ, sources “connected to the women” are working toward starting a world tour come summertime. This tour would reportedly starting in England and eventually make it’s way stateside. It’s been said that no new songs will be performed, so those with Spice Girls nostalgia, rejoice.

It was reported by The Sun that all the Spice’s got together with their manager, Simon Fuller to discuss further detail. Victoria Beckham did nothing to quell rumors when she posted an instagram of all the Spice Girls all smiles and hugging, gathered around each other. To true fans, the proof is in the pudding.

In a joined statement to Entertainment Tonight, the band says:

“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generation.”

The future of the Spice Girls remains a mystery, but we have a lot of hope. New opportunities could mean pretty much anything, so as of now, there’s no positive confirmation. In the meantime we’ll be crossing our fingers and singing along to “Wannabe” at the top of our lungs.
