The Interestings, by Meg Wolitzer

Hello, readers!

Kristin van Ogtrop here, editor of Real Simple, time-challenged working woman, and lover of books (albeit with limited reading time). This month we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the No-Obligation Book Club, and I’m pleased to be back leading our discussion. (Which I have not done since our launch book, Nora Ephron’s I Feel Bad About My Neck, which we read in September 2008; for those of you who have been around since then, congratulations!)

This month’s winner is Meg Wolitzer’s The Interestings. As a great admirer of Wolitzer’s work, I can’t wait to dig into this one.

Let’s follow this schedule:

For Friday, September 6: Chapters 1 through 7 (pages 1 though 141)

For Friday, September 13: Chapters 8 through 11 (pages 142 through 264)

For Friday, September 20: Chapters 12 through 15 (pages 265 through 369)

For Friday, September 27: Chapters 16 through 22 (pages 370 through 468)

Sound good? See you all back here next Friday for our first discussion.
