New data found that many Netflix users gravitate to the same 10 shows for their first binge.
It’s that time of the year when we can’t even consider leaving our beds on the weekend, and we find ourselves turning to Netflix marathons to get us through the wintry weather. Before you know it, you’ve seen every episode of Stranger Things and somehow made it through all 14 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy. But can you remember the first show you ever binged?
Netflix has released their findings about what shows users gravitate to when they are starting their first Netflix binge. To standardize the findings, they defined binging as completing at least one season of a show within a week of starting.
According to the findings, it takes only 12 days for new members to start their first binge, and the majority of those users will finish a season in just three days. If you ever feel lazy because of your nonstop viewing behavior, don’t worry: according to the data, more than 90% of users binge a show within a year of joining.
According to the survey, the 10 shows that users tend to binge first are:
- Orange Is the New Black
- Breaking Bad
- The Walking Dead
- Stranger Things
- House of Cards
- Sons of Anarchy
- Fuller House
- American Horror Story
- Family Guy
- Grey’s Anatomy
If you want to find out what your first binge is, there’s an easy way to find out. Simply go to your Netflix account page, select “viewing activity,” and scroll all the way down to find the first show you ever binged.
