Listening to audiobooks is a great alternative to hard copy reading, especially during driving trips when hands-free entertainment is necessary to fill the hours spent on the road.

This week, Audible, Amazon’s audiobook subscription service, released a list of their most-downloaded audiobooks of the year. Surprisingly, the audiobooks that topped the Audible charts this year were not all hot new book releases from 2017, but mostly old favorites that readers tend to revisit again and again.

J.K. Rowling dominated the list, which included four books in the Harry Potter series, all of which were narrated by Jim Dale. The list also featured a few books that are being adapted into movies, including Stephen King’s It and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, which comes to theaters in March 2018.
