Audible Now Lets You Skip Ahead to the “Good Parts” of Books
This changes everything.
Fans of romance novels will be happy to learn that Audible just launched a new feature for its Audible Romance branch: One click lets audiobook listeners skip ahead to the steamiest parts of the book. Forget about trudging through 100 pages of detailed descriptions about the protagonist’s town to get to a two-page tryst with a neighbor. Using the new “Take Me to the Good Part Tool,” users can choose to skip ahead to sections tagged with 10 categories, including Flirty Banter, Proposal, and Hot, Hot, Hot.
For $15 a month (or $7 if you already have Audible), the Audible Romance Package lets you indulge in as many of the service’s 10,000 available titles as you’d like. The books range from Jane Austen classics to erotica, all presented in the narrator’s best “sexy voice” (speaking of which, you probably don’t want to miss Idris Elba reading the best bedtime story we’ve ever heard).
If you’re having trouble finding a romance novel that’s the right degree of heat, Audible Romance has done the sorting for you, by placing books into five groupings: Sweet, Simmering, Sizzling, Hot Damn, and O-O-Omg. By perusing books within the range you’re looking for, you can avoid being surprised by an overly-steamy or too-tame tale. You can also browse by storylines or themes, so the romance in Paris you’re looking for is just one search away.
For those looking for something commitment-free, Audible Romance also offers a one-month free trial that lets you cancel at any time, no strings attached.
