Don’t worry—there are no spoilers.
With a Gilmore Girls revival just days away, fans are eating up every teaser, trailer, and interview they can get as the wait winds down. Executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino has done everything she can to keep the plot under wraps, even in a social media-obsessed world, but the press tour has allowed cast members to open up about the filming experience. Entertainment Weekly, Real Simple’s sister brand, reunited key cast members to discuss the revival, fan reactions, Rory’s relationships, and the final four words. Seeing the three Gilmore women together—Lorelai, Rory, and Emily—is enough to make a superfan get goosebumps.
In the EW reunion, fans also get some perspective from other favorites, including Logan (Matt Czuchry), Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), and Luke (Scott Patterson). They all agree that this four-episode revival gives the show a closure it didn’t have when it wrapped in season seven under a different producer.
“We were able to finally tell the complete story,” says Padelecki. The final four words feel like the “period” that the show needed. Despite this feeling of finality, Graham is convinced the show will always have a legacy.
“This is going to be one of those shows that people continue to find and continue to enjoy over time,” she said.
