I have some very surprising news for you: There are some people who don't want to see beautiful photos of Candice Swanepoel, AKA Victoria's Secret Angel and Universe Goddess.

The South African supermodel, who is currently expecting her second child with long-time partner Hermann Nicoli is no stranger to unwarranted criticism on Instagram, but the negativity she encounters only serves her steadfastness when it comes to her beliefs.

Throughout her first pregnancy with son Anacã in 2016, the supermodel wasn't shy about showing her appreciation for her changing body and its power, posting beautiful portraits both while pregnant and following her son's birth with captions emphasizing a woman's ability to grow life.

Apparently, not everyone on social media was as supportive of the excited soon-to-be mom as you'd expect, prompting the 29-year old to add a message to one of her normally lyrical captions about the beauties of motherhood. In July 2016, about three months before she welcomed her baby boy, Swanepoel posted another photo of her growing belly with a caption that included, "Note- if you have a problem seeing photos of pregnant women feel free to unfollow my page instead of reporting it. Thank you."

A few months later, when her baby was about two months old, Swanepoel posted a close-up shot breastfeeding with a long message that pointed out society's hypocrisy when it comes to women's bodies and voiced support for her fellow new mothers. She wrote, "Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public, or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children. I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places but strangely feel nothing for the topless editorials I've done in the name of art..?"

She added, "The world has been desensitized to the sexualization of the breast and to violence on tv...why should it be different when it comes to breastfeeding? -Breastfeeding is not sexual it's natural- Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern on society as a whole."

This past Mother's Day, the supermodel reminded us of her stance once again with another close-up breastfeeding shot from when Anacã was around this same age.

In addition to being a vocal advocate for more acceptance of women's bodies and the magic of motherhood, Swanepoel uses her Instagram account to show support for many causes, including animal rights, wildlife conservation, and the environment.

Of course, because she's a professional model, her account is full of recent campaigns and selfies, but she uses her platform for so much more than you'd catch if all you did was skim through her account.

Baby number-one is now 18 months old, and the family will welcome another baby boy this year. We can't wait to see more of her stunning family photos.
