If you’ve gone through your fair share of serums, you’ll know that there are many that promise a lot while performing a little. With so many to choose from, it’s hard to know which will actually meet your expectations. But it seems like shoppers in the U.S. have seemingly found their “holy grail” when it comes to an effective serum that targets dark spots, wrinkles, and even oily skin: the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Glycolic Acid Serum.

The glycolic acid serum is actually so popular, one bottle is sold every minute, according to a brand representative. The dermatologist-validated serum is made with 10 percent glycolic acid, which targets tons of skin issues, from fine lines and dark spots to large pores and acne. It’s also formulated with aloe to help soothe skin and is gentle enough for daily use, even for those with sensitive skin (it’s fragrance-free, paraben-free, and dye-free).

The serum has racked up a couple hundred reviews on Amazon since launching last October, with shoppers giving it an overall rating of 4.4 out of five. Customers say they see fast improvements in the appearance of wrinkles, tautness, and oil production (some in as little as two days) — one 73-year-old shopper even raved that she looks “20 years younger.”

Since glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliant, it’s recommended to use sunscreen after application as it can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. L’Oréal Paris also makes a Revitalift SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion, which the brand suggests using after the serum.

With a bottle sold so often, the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Glycolic Acid Serum just might be keeping up with its promises.
