Smoked salmon is a magic ingredient, especially when you’re short on time but still want a healthy and fresh meal. In just ten minutes, this brunch-inspired dinner is on the table. And besides warming the naan, which can even be done in a toaster or air fryer, this is basically a no-cook meal. Soft and fluffy store-bought naan is slathered with a flavor-boosted cream cheese mixture made with lemon zest, chives, and garlic that softens as it hits the warm bread. Then smoked salmon is draped on top along with thin slices of red onion and a sprinkling of briny, salty capers and peppery arugula. Pro tip: This fast flatbread makes a fabulous lunch too.

Ingredients

  • 1 8.8-oz. pkg. naan flatbreads (such as Stonefire)

  • 1/2 cup whipped cream cheese

  • 1/2 tsp. lemon zest, plus more for garnish

  • 1 clove garlic, grated on a Microplane

  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh chives

  • 1/8 tsp. kosher salt

  • 1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 cup packed baby arugula

  • 8 oz. thinly sliced smoked salmon

  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion

  • 2 Tbsp. capers, drained

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler with oven rack 6 inches from heat. Place flat-breads directly on rack. Broil until crisp and golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes, flipping after 1 minute. Let cool for 5 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, stir together cream cheese, lemon zest, garlic, chives, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

  3. Spread cream cheese mixture on flatbreads. Top with arugula, salmon, onion, capers, and more lemon zest.
