Photo: amazon.com A few little enhancements could have a big impact on your sleep, and figuring out what you need is now easier than ever. Amazon launched a new storefront devoted to sleep hygiene in time for the start of daylight saving time this week (remember to set your clocks forward on March 13). The speciality store features all kinds of bedroom upgrades, like mattresses, pillows, bedding, and smart home gadgets. And it all starts at $5. There are tons of simple upgrades you can make to improve your sleep around daylight saving time beyond mindful consumption of caffeine and screen time. Investing in new pillows or a sunrise-simulating alarm clock could make all the difference. "Even if springing forward doesn't affect your sleep, these mattresses, pillow toppers, curtains, and air purifiers can help make sure you get your best eight hours yet," Amazon wrote in a statement about the new shop. The destination features five sections: mattresses and pillows, sheets and blankets, window treatments and eye masks, air quality gadgets, and alarm clocks. And it's not just about functionality. Each curation features attractive finds that will enhance the look of your space, too. The sleep store also has several editor-loved finds. As someone who experienced insomnia for years, I needed a few bedroom enhancements to achieve restorative sleep. Blackout curtains, cooling bed sheets (these cool-to-the-touch ones are my favorite), and an air purifier with a gentle hum to reduce allergens and muffle background noise all improved my sleep hygiene. Invest in what you need to get the high-quality snooze time you deserve. Some more downtime before bed, a good book, and a few other enhancements could be all you need to move the needle.
