Simple to care for and easy to love, succulents are the plant world's water-storing survivalists. The inspiration for maker Beth Frey's hand-thrown mugs comes from the quirky and sometimes spiky specimens she planted near her sun-drenched home studio. Before being placed in a kiln at over 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit, each of her ceramic masterpieces is created on a potter's wheel using various sculpting, carving, and glazing techniques. The result is an artful vessel worthy of green thumbs, coffee connoisseurs, and tea aficionados alike. Handmade in Massachusetts.
