Excellent for all rooms inrmulated for interior walls and ceilings and exterior siding, shutters and fencing. Excellent for all rooms in the home and office. Apply to wood, drywall, masonry and stucco. Do not use on floors. All surfaces must be clean, free of dust, chalk, oil, grease, wax, polish, mold and mildew stains, loose and peeling paint, rust and all other foreign substances. Glossy surfaces must be “scuff sanded” with appropriate sandpaper prior to coating. Fill all gaps with a paintable caulking and allow to completely dry prior to coating. Countersink nailheads, fill, and prime with a primer such as KILZ® Premium Primer/sealer/stainblocker. Wash off any dirt, grease and chalk with mild detergent and/or powerwash. Allow new stucco, plaster and masonry to cure for 30 days before painting. Use KILZ IDENTITY Paint as a primer coat for repaired or uncoated surfaces, including woods that contain tannins and heavily stained areas. Lock in stains with the first primer coat; if necessary, apply a second primer coat of KILZ IDENTITY Paint. Stir paint occasionally. Intermix containers of the same product to ensure color and sheen uniformity. Use a high quality synthetic brush or 3/8" –1/2" nap synthetic roller. For heavily textured surfaces such as stucco, a 3/4" nap roller is recommended or an airless sprayer (0.015"-0.021" spray tip, 60 mesh filter). Certain colors may require additional coats for complete hide. After 4 weeks, cured paint film may be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive liquid detergent. When applying to vinyl, color choice must be the same color or lighter than the existing color. Coverage is 250-400 sq. ft. per gallon depending on surface texture, porosity and application method. DO NOT THIN if using a roller or brush; however, if using a sprayer and thinning is required, thin with water at a rate of no more than 1/2 pint per gallon. Achieve a uniform coat by using the "V" paint method to maintain a wet edge by applying paint toward the unpainted area and then back into the just-painted area. Repeat "V" with a fully loaded roller for every 2 ft. by 2 ft. area. DO NOT overspread or "stretch" paint. Under-application will affect hide and durability. Do not apply excessive pressure when rolling. Dries to touch in 2 hours (at 77° F and 50% R.H.) or longer in cooler temperatures and/or higher humidity. Recoat in 4 hours. On heavy stains and woods that contain tannins, allow 12-16 hours of dry time between coats. Cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong drying time. Clean all tools and equipment with clean, soapy water. For disposal of empty containers and unused product, contact your household refuse collection service.
