Found: My Favorite Everyday Eyeshadow Palette—And It's Only $25

If you're on the hunt for a new eyeshadow palette featuring stunning neutral shades, my must-have Morphe palette can easily take you from day to night.

The Best Neutral Eyeshadow Palette

When creating a full makeup look, eyeshadow is essential. While I love fun shades of greens, blues, and purples, I've realized that I'd rather save exotic colors for fun occasions like music festivals and opt for more neutral shades for everyday wear. Plus, I'm a redhead with fair skin, so I feel best when I go for bronze, gold, and beige tones. My pick? The Morphe 35O Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette.

Prior to my discovery of the Morphe palette, I'd been a loyal Urban Decay shopper, owning the original Naked, Naked2, and Naked Smoky Palettes. Although Urban Decay had all the beautiful shades I love, I wasn't impressed by its quality. I would use an eyelid primer and high-grade brushes for application, but the colors still wouldn't look vibrant or last throughout the day. A few months ago, I tried the Too Faced Gingerbread Palette using the same brushes and the colors seriously popped. While it was good to see there was a palette out there that offered the vibrancy I was looking for, the colors weren't exactly what I wanted (the pinks and oranges looked too harsh)—and so the saga continued. I returned the palette and searched Ulta yet again to find a replacement. At this point I'd spent a decent chunk of money on palettes, so I was open to basically any brand available as long as it met my only requirement: It housed a variety of neutral colors that still felt highly pigmented.

I had tested a few other brands and was slowly becoming discouraged—I was even close to just settling on one I wasn't even super sold on. However, I took a peek at the more affordable section of Ulta, including all the Morphe palettes, and found myself overwhelmed by the gorgeous options at a much lower price point. I was instantly drawn to the 35O Nature Glow Palette for its range of light to dark brown hues, matte and shimmer finishes, as well as its unbelievable price of only $25. It looked exactly like the other $50 palettes I'd tried, but contained more than three times the shadows. To be certain it was truly my right match, I tried a few swatches on my wrist and eyelids and was totally sold.

As soon as I got home I removed my makeup with my must-have Neutrogena wipes and tried out my new purchase. Prepping both eyes with Ulta's Matte Eye Primer, I applied a base layer of beige shadow, then a medium brown shade on the majority of my lid, and added a darker shade in my crease, finally highlighting my brow line and the inner corner of my eye with a light shimmery shade.

My overall take? I'm so pleased with how pigmented, blendable, and long-lasting the Morphe shadows are, surpassing all the other expensive ones I previously owned. Whether I'm going for a chill look with a soft nude shade plus mascara, or a full glam look with smoky eyes, contouring, and a bold lip, this palette has me covered.
