This week, Amazon launched two furniture lines, Stone & Beam which is full of pieces we’re sure Joanna Gaines would approve of, and Rivet, which offers affordable furniture with a mid-century modern edge. After spending a good portion of the last 48 hours perusing all of the stylish pieces in the Rivet line (the lamps are gorgeous and the sofas are ideal for small spaces), there’s one piece we’re pretty sure almost any home could benefit from: the storage ottoman.

The new line offers an impressive selection of 12 different storage ottomans and benches, all designed to take up a minimal amount of space, while multi-tasking as a seat, a footrest, and a hidden storage unit. The most impressive of the bunch even opens up into a twin-size bed for overnight guests. Much more attractive than a plastic bin and far more practical than a woven storage basket, these storage ottomans help keep books, blankets, and toys right where you want them, but where guests won’t be able to spot the clutter. You’re going to wonder why you didn’t invest in this underrated piece of furniture sooner.

Rivet Madison Lift-Top Modern Storage Ottoman

If you live in a small space, chances are you could use more of two things: seating and storage. This tiny ottoman delivers both, while taking up less than two square feet of living space.

Rivet Fold Modern Ottoman Sofa Bed

Available in light or dark gray fabric, this sleek ottoman will blend in seamlessly with your decor. The 30-inch width offers a generous amount of seating or the most luxurious place to perch your feet. The best part: It opens up to reveal a twin-size bed for unexpected houseguests.

To buy: $499; amazon.com.

Rivet Martin Modern Storage Bench

The tufting on this modern bench makes it look much more expensive than it is. And the ability to stash a few more pillows and blankets inside this stylish storage piece? We’d say that’s pretty priceless.
