This week, Amazon launched two furniture lines, Stone & Beam which is full of pieces we’re sure Joanna Gaines would approve of, and Rivet, which offers affordable furniture with a mid-century modern edge. After spending a good portion of the last 48 hours perusing all of the stylish pieces in the Rivet line (the lamps are gorgeous and the sofas are ideal for small spaces), there’s one piece we’re pretty sure almost any home could benefit from: the storage ottoman.

The new line offers an impressive selection of 12 different storage ottomans and benches, all designed to take up a minimal amount of space, while multi-tasking as a seat, a footrest, and a hidden storage unit. The most impressive of the bunch even opens up into a twin-size bed for overnight guests. Much more attractive than a plastic bin and far more practical than a woven storage basket, these storage ottomans help keep books, blankets, and toys right where you want them, but where guests won’t be able to spot the clutter. You’re going to wonder why you didn’t invest in this underrated piece of furniture sooner.
