This one accessory doubled our storage, reduced clutter—and made getting ready in the morning that much easier.
I imagine the bathroom my roommate and I share resembles that of most city dwellers: cluttered, opportunistic, and overrun with sample scrubs and lotions. We have little surface area (no expansive double-sink vanity here) so we squeeze all we can—razors, brushes, and soap—on a narrow window shelf, leaving our loofahs and washcloths lackadaisically draped over a wire hanger. Floor space is reserved for oversized shampoos.
But recently, in a burst of reorganization, we bought the InterDesign Raphael Bathroom Shower Caddy. We applied the golden rule of organizing to our high-traffic, low-storage space: Get off the floor and utilize the walls.
The caddy’s top shelf is ideal for displacing our former floor-bound offenders, and the lower shelf corrals soaps; both have sides secure enough to prevent items from slipping through. At the bottom are spots for our razors, loofahs, and washcloths. The sturdy design weathers even our chaotic pre-work rituals, which can involve frantically slamming bottles in an effort to hurry up. Finally, the versatile pearl gold finish compliments the tile and accessories, while brightening up the space.
It’s a simple, yet effective transformation that streamlined our shower space in just a few minutes and even inspired us to dump some space suckers in the process, like seasonal scrubs and bubble bath (we don’t even have a tub!?). Half our collection remains on the window ledge, while the rest is now properly stowed in the caddy. This no-brainer facelift was worth its pennies in standing room alone.
