Marie Kondo Is Going to Have a TV Show—And You Could Be On It
There’s a casting call out right now.
Ever since The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up came out in 2014, there have been more organized and streamlined closets and homes in the world. Over the past few years, organizing guru Marie Kondo’s KonMari method has garnered an international following—and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Kondo is bringing her expertise to TV with her new show, “Organize the World with Marie Kondo.” The best part? You could star in it and get your home transformed by the expert.
Kondo posted a casting call announcement on her Instagram, encouraging her followers to apply or nominate friends to be on the show. “I will be bringing the life-changing magic of tidying up to a brand new series for a global TV platform! On this new series, I will be working with people to transform their homes and spark a personal transformation,” she wrote in the post.
For those unfamiliar with the KonMari method, it’s all about organizing items by categories, tossing items you no longer need, and only keeping the things that “spark joy” in your life.

The casting call says producers are looking for families, individuals, and couples who live in the Los Angeles area and are available to shoot between March and June 2018. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, legally eligible to work, and live in the United States. Ready to live a tidier, more joyful life? You can apply here.
Kondo already filmed a two-part television documentary special in 2016, “Tidy Up with KonMari!,” for Japanese television. Plus, there were reports last year that NBC was adapting her bestseller into a TV comedy.
