Almost three years ago, Marie Kondo changed the way we organized for the better with her KonMari method and popular book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. Now the Japanese cleaning expert is back with a new take on the bestseller—a comic version called The Life-Changing Manga of Tidying Up.

For those not familiar with the KonMari method, it’s an organizing strategy that involves decluttering by category and keeping the things that “spark joy” in your life and tossing out the rest.

While the first book was a manual or guidebook, the new book is a fictional story about a messy woman who hires Marie Kondo to teach her how to organize and tidy up her home. Readers will learn about the KonMari method through this woman’s story. It’s told in the form of manga, the Japanese comic style—which could be fun to share with the kids and get them started on organizing early.

"By turning my book into a graphic novel, I hope that the KonMari method of tidying and thinking will become even more accessible to readers,” Kondo told RealSimple.com. “Manga has been very popular in Japan for generations and has always been one of my favorite forms of artistic expression and entertainment. It has been especially fun and satisfying to work on this book, and I hope it sparks as much joy in you and your friends and family as it has for me.”
