They passed our sniff test.

In my apartment bathroom with terrible ventilation, bath towels tend to smell musty after just a couple uses. So when Nutrl reached out with a new line of silver-infused towels that promises to prevent odor and save on multiple wash cycles, I was skeptically hopeful, and decided to put it to the ultimate test.

After giving the towel a pre-wash, I decided to test out the towel for one week without washing it (seven uses between washings may seem slightly gross, but I was determined to put its powers to the test!). The towel was thick and soft, with a fluffy ribbing that seems to help absorb more moisture. After the first use, I decided it was a luxurious towel, but so far it was just like any other high-quality towel you might find in a hotel bathroom.

To see what sets this option apart, I continued to use it every day for an entire week. In between showers, I hung it to dry on the hook on the back of my bathroom door—not the best-ventilated spot, but a great method for testing this fabric’s deodorizing abilities. After a full week of washing and sniffing, the towel still smelled as fresh as it did on day one. If I hadn’t used the towel myself, I would have guessed it was freshly washed.

So how does this miracle towel work? By infusing a cotton towel with recycled silver, the metal prevents the growth of odor-causing bacteria and mildew. By stopping bacteria before it spreads, this towel not only smells cleaner than a typical towel, but it actually is cleaner, so you don’t have to feel guilty about skipping your daily load of laundry.
