Starbucks isn’t the only one getting in on the trend.
Unicorn lovers can now breathe a sigh of relief with the latest product to join in on the craze. The mythical creatures have inspired people to sip colorful frappuccinos, dye cream cheese, and more. Now, they are the face of a new diffuser.
Smoko, a Los Angeles-based company, released a Kickstarter for Elodie, the unicorn diffuser. Touting it as a “chubby unicorn reincarnated as a diffuser,” the company has already raised about $20,000 more than their goal. People are loving the relatively small (5” by 6” by 5”) and lightweight (12 ounces)—not to mention, adorable—diffuser. The device can run for six to eight hours until the water runs out and has auto shut-off times for 60, 90 and 180 minutes. All customers have to do is twist off Elodie’s top and refill her with water.
The company also suggests adding your favorite essential oils to create an at-home spa atmosphere. Elodie lights up, too! The diffuser has a “light” button, which turns the diffuser into a red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, or pink night light. Elodie comes with a wall adapter to recharge, though buyers can also use a USB port. The retail price is set at $49.99, but those looking to purchase an Elodie of their own can opt to pledge $36 on Kickstarter instead. Depending on the amount pledged, donors may also receive Elodie-themed lights, ramen bowls, and mugs.
The campaign closes in 29 days. By June, Smoko will start building the production mold. Diffusers are expected to ship between September and October.
