And there’s nothing “mini” about her new condominium.
Katie Couric is on the move. The journalist put her New York City apartment on the market for $8.25 million, according to Page Six.
The apartment has 10 rooms, with five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is a library, and the kitchen features a large chef’s eat-in kitchen with a breakfast room and butler’s pantry.
“This high third floor 10 room apartment has big windows, beautiful original parquet flooring as well as charming views of Park Avenue’s famous tulip gardens, tree tops and The Brick Church,” an agent wrote on the reported listing, which is featured on Stribling.com.
The building is described as a “white glove, full-service coop with 24-hour doorman service, a fitness center, a bike room and live-in super.”
In an interview with Page Six, a friend of the former Today host said, “Katie raised her family in the Park Avenue apartment.”
The same friend also said Couric and her husband of three years, John Molner, have already moved into a new condo. Last year, the couple purchased a 3,966-square-foot condo on the Upper East Side for a reported $12 million.
Couric has a lot of experience buying and selling homes. In a 2016 interview with The New York Times, she related the process of finding the perfect home to dating.
“I do think there’s a certain kind of chemistry between a house and an owner,” she said. “You walk in and you can kind of envision your life there. It’s like a first date. You know in the first 30 seconds.”
