How to Decorate With the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year

Our favorite finds featuring “Greenery.”

Pantone wants us to start fresh in the new year, that’s why the global color authority announced its 2017 Color of the Year as 15-0343 Greenery. The yellow-green shade is equal parts fresh and cheerful—it evokes springtime, renewal, and a sense of hope. “The tangy yellow-green speaks to our desire to express, explore, experiment, and reinvent, imparting a sense of buoyancy,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said in a statement. “Through its reassuring yet assertive vibrancy, Greenery offers us self-assurance and boldness to live life on our own terms, during a time when we are redefining what makes us successful and happy.” Each year’s hue is chosen by color experts at the Pantone Color Institute, who search around the world for “new color influences,” from happenings in pop culture, travel, fashion, design, and more.

If you want to start fresh in 2017, take a look at these décor accents to bring some Greenery into your home.
