While there are some people who don't mind the manual labor that cleaning your home entails, many others would rather automate those tasks with smart appliances that do all the work for you. But nowadays, you aren't limited to cleaning your floors with robot vacuums that suck up dust and dry debris. Robot mops, which work wonders on hard surfaces like tile and wood, make it so you never have to pull out the spin mop or Swiffer again.

That's why we were so happy to see that the iRobot Braava Jet m6—the overall best robot mop we've tested—is currently discounted by $101 on Amazon. We recently put eight different models through tests involving things like spilled soda and piles of pudding, and the Braava Jet m6 (which is from the same brand that makes Roomba vacuums) came out as the clear winner.

It works as a wet mop and dry sweeper.

The Braava Jet m6 has both wet and dry functions, and it automatically cleans with the proper mode based on which cleaning pad you attach. The box comes with everything you need to get started, including a reusable microfiber pad, two single-use wet mopping pads, two single-use dry sweeping pads, and a bottle of cleaning solution. Even though the mop requires the brand's special solution, extra bottles are just $8 on Amazon.

When we used the spot cleaning mode to mop up soda and syrup, our testers were impressed by how well it cleaned up the messes without spreading them around. It only took five minutes and a few passes to completely get rid of the stickiness. It didn't perform quite as well in our flour test, but dry spills like that are best left for vacuums, anyways. There's also a regular cleaning mode that will mop your entire home, not just a specific area where there's a spill.

We also liked that the robot mop's square shape allowed it to clean hard-to-reach areas (like corners) without aggressively slamming into baseboards and furniture.

It's loaded with smart features.

Setting up the Braava Jet m6 was simple, especially with the help of the intuitive iRobot app. It's easy to download it on your smartphone and connect the mop to Wi-Fi, which gives you the ability to schedule regular cleanings, customize maps, and control the appliance while on the go.

Once set up and running, the robot mop will start mapping out your home and cleaning in neat rows. It takes a few uses before the map is complete, but it'll eventually know which room it's in and whether or not to clean it. And if there are certain areas of your home that you don't want the robot mop to clean, you can set virtual boundaries so it avoids entering those areas. It can even detect carpets and rugs (along with stairs), so you don't have to remove them from the floors before each cleaning session.

Plus, when the battery is running low (it lasted three hours for us), the Braava Jet m6 automatically goes back to its base to recharge. Once the battery is charged again, the robot mop picks up cleaning right where it left off.

This is a can't-miss sale.

Even though we'd still recommend the Braava Jet m6 at full price, it's always better to get it on sale—especially when you can save $101. The discount brings the smart robot mop down to $349, which is the lowest price it's been since earlier this summer.

Head to Amazon to order one for yourself while it's still on sale. If you act fast, you might just be able to get it before Christmas.
