1. Easy Halloween Costume: The Detective
The RealSimple.com Halloween costume shoot has become a tradition around our halls and it also tops my list of memorable 2012 moments. From dragons to movie directors, it’s hard to pick a favorite. But if I have to pick just one, I’d pick this simple Sherlock Holmes-inspired disguise (who also happens to be my nephew!).

2. Blanket Fort Video
How many people can really say they get to build blanket forts at work? A few kids, a bunch of pillows and blankets, and a ton of imagination went into making these creative forts. Watch for yourself (and turn up the sound on your computer!).

3. Holiday Cookie Countdown
Sixty-one days of cookies = Dream. Come. True. And December 18 is the day featuring my all-time favorite, the Angeletti. This sprinkly gem was one of my Grandmother’s famous cookies and it'll always remind me of spending Christmas Eve in her kitchen.
