For the first time since 1945, Easter falls on April Fools' Day this year. To honor the bizarre holiday mash-up, Peeps has released three new Mystery Peeps flavors exclusively at Walmart.

Of course, this is not the first time that Peeps has released mystery versions, and past flavors have included strange varieties like Buttered Popcorn, Sour Green Apple, Maple Syrup, and Grape Slush.

Since we're always up for trying new things, we put the Mystery Peeps to the (taste) test—below, find what our editors thought of each flavor.

The first one was minty—like spearmint—maybe called Mint Margarita or named after another minty cocktail, suggests senior editor Katie Holdefehr. Not our favorite.

The next one had an obvious citrus aroma, but our editors were torn over exactly what kind of citrus fruit it was meant to taste like. While some said lemon or orange, the most popular guess overall was that it was lemon-lime flavored (like Sprite or Mountain Dew).

The third and final Peep that we tried was our favorite. It was slightly sweet with a sour kick at the end. Some of us thought it was sour green apple, but associate producer Hannah Norling tasted overwhelming berry notes, “almost like a Starburst.”
