Buttermilk Pancakes
Thanks to superior fluffiness, these buttery pancakes are the ones we turn to over and over again. Cook them on a hot griddle or large non-stick skillet. Keep them warm on a rack in a low oven and be sure to serve with more butter and plenty of warm maple syrup. Get the recipe: Buttermilk Pancakes

Cancel your breakfast (and lunch and dinner) plans, pancake lovers. IHOP has declared tomorrow their National Pancake Day (February 27), and they’re celebrating by giving you a free stack of pancakes. Yes, for those who have been waiting: IHOP free pancakes 2018 is finally here!

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., participating IHOP locations will serve all guests one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes if they are dining in. Though that’s the way the pancake chain will get you in the door, the event isn’t really about pancakes. Instead, it’s about raising awareness and money for children battling serious illnesses. IHOP hopes to raise $5 million in donations tomorrow for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. So though you can grab a free stack of flapjacks, you’re highly encouraged to share a couple of bucks in support of sick kids. Sounds like a pretty yummy way to do some good to us.
