This Year’s Hottest Holiday Decorating Trends Put a Twist on the Traditional
Forget candy canes and big green wreaths—this year, holiday decorating trends are going in a funkier direction, according to Etsy.
Snow may not be falling quite yet, but certain go-getters are already working ahead on their holiday decorating—crafted-goods emporium Etsy is reporting a spike in searches for holiday décor starting in October.
Etsy compared this year’s searches to last year’s to determine what holiday trends home decorators are looking for, and the results are not at all traditional. According to Etsy’s report, holiday decorations are moving away from tried-and-true classics such as globe ornaments and Christmas china in favor of more colorful, personalized picks. Love it or hate it, consider these trend predictions a sneak peek at what the holidays will look like in homes all around you (and on social media feeds) this season.
