As a stylist, author, and blogger dedicated to teaching her fans how to throw the ultimate party, Camille Styles is a holiday entertaining guru. With her mind always on the next holiday, dinner party, or get-together, we knew she'd likely have her Christmas gift shopping done early—so when I caught up with her at the Target headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota last month, I had to ask. At it turns out, Styles' shopping trick is to have a go-to gift that can work for almost anyone, whether it's your best friend or a distant relative you don't know very well.

And Styles's go-to gift is a brilliant one: a beautiful coffee table book the recipient will want to show off in his or her living room. "Finding a beautiful coffee table book that reflects the person I'm giving it to feels really special," Styles explains. For a foodie friend, splurge on a photo-filled cookbook, and for the friend who always surprises you with a bouquet, gift them a flower book.

And, what about if you don't know the recipient very well? No worries, almost anyone on your list would appreciate one of the five stunning coffee table books, below. You really can't go wrong.
