Barnes and Noble Stores Are Hosting Harry Potter-Themed Holiday Balls

Don’t miss the magical evening December 9.

Double, double, toil and trouble: Something festive this way comes! On December 9, Barnes & Noble stores across the country will host the first-ever Harry Potter Magical Holiday Ball. Inspired by the Yule Ball in The Goblet of Fire, the merry event will kick off at 7 P.M. local time, and feature dancing, music, Harry Potter-themed activities, and special giveaways. Of course, customers are encouraged to wear costumes (ten points for conjuring Ron’s musty, maroon robes!) and holiday attire.

According to Barnes & Noble’s press release, activities will include a craft station where customers can create their own ornaments and owl fans (while supplies last), Wizard Charades, trivia, and a special photo-op station where wizards of all ages can capture the magic of the event. To top it off, 100 lucky partygoers will go home with a special Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: The Illustrated Edition poster. So get there early, you know those posters will disapparate quickly.

At select stores, the event will also include delicious treats, face painting, fortune telling, and carolers. Contact your local store to find out what activities will be offered. To find the Barnes & Nobel location nearest you, visit their website.
