By strengthening the three muscle parts that put the "tri" in triceps, this move dejiggles the backs of the arms and balances out the curves of the biceps. Because the move stabilizes the elbow and shoulder joints, it also makes pushing and pulling during everyday tasks easier and supports the upper body during workouts such as yoga.
