These Photos of People Finishing the NYC Marathon Will Cure Your Sunday Night Blues

Looks of pure joy, relief, and accomplishment.

Today, about 50,000 people ran in the New York City Marathon. That’s 26.2 miles through all five boroughs of New York City, starting in Staten Island, moving to Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and ending in Manhattan (and you thought you had a productive Sunday). If you’ve ever run a marathon (or any race for that matter), you know how emotional crossing that finish line can be. We’ve rounded up some heartwarming photos of people finishing the marathon—if they don’t make you a bit teary, or motivated for the week ahead, we don’t know what will.
