Starbucks Is Releasing a New Almond Milk Frappucino Today
The Horchata Frappucino will only be available for a limited amount of time.
Summer is winding down and fall is rapidly approaching, but it’s not time for a warm pumpkin spice latte just yet. Lucky for us, Starbucks has just announced their release of the perfect transition drink: the Horchata Almondmilk Frappucino. The blended ice will cool you off during the last few weeks of hot weather, but the spicy cinnamon flavors will remind you that fall—in all of its pumpkin spice glory—is on its way.
Starbucks said in a statement that the iced treat was inspired by popular Horchata drinks. While Horchata recipes vary by culture and region, Starbucks fans will be able to find this particular recipe in participating stores all over the United States and Canada starting today. According to the company, it's made with almond milk, cinnamon dolce syrup, coffee, and ice all blended together. As if that didn’t sound delicious enough, the Starbucks team has also added mouth-watering toppings to the beverage. The coffee drink comes with whipped cream, caramel, and cinnamon and sugar sprinkles on top.

A Tall (12 ounce) Horchata Almondmilk Frappucino has 70 mg of caffeine, which means that you can still get your morning fix with this new menu item. But you have to act fast on this sweet and spicy beverage because it will only be around for a short period of time. Starbucks said in a statement that the drink is, “delightful during the warmer months, and like summer, not here for long.” Coffee break, anyone?
