Though we rely on Trader Joe’s for everyday groceries, it’s also our go-to store for holiday prep. Not only is the produce fresh and the cheese cheap, but their specialty seasonal items are not to be missed (hello, almond milk eggnog).

But if you’re someone who waits until the last minute to prep your holiday meal, you may want to consider re-strategizing. Trader Joe’s stores nationwide will close at 6 p.m. on December 24, with the exception of Foxborough, MA, which will close at 3 p.m. The grocery store will be completely closed on Christmas Day.

Stores will also close at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, so head over soon to buy bottles of bubbly and heat-and-serve appetizers for New Year’s Eve. The store will be closed on January 1.

Wondering what to stock up on? Our editors love their Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip, which comes frozen and takes just minutes to heat up. Their Sesame Honey Almonds are also a staff favorite, which are great for setting out for guests to munch on as they mingle.

And if you’re considering making a cheese plate for either Christmas or New Year’s, Trader Joe’s is here to help. One blogger made an epic platter for just $55, and you can easily re-create it.
