Nothing says “I love you” like a pack of Scandinavian Swimmers or Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Cups.

Valentine’s Day is all about expressing your love for those most important to you, and what better way to do it with than all of the best goodies from Trader Joe’s. While most people swoon over a piece of jewelry or a designer handbag as a love momento, I’m perfectly content with a bag full of provisions from Trader Joe’s (and a handwritten love note, of course).

The best part of Valentine's Day shopping at TJ’s is that there’s something for everyone. Within just a few minutes, you can scoop up something sweet or thoughtful for everyone on your list. Whether you’re heading to dinner for Galentine’s Day, surprising your kids after school, or snuggling up with your one true love, you can find it all at Trader Joe’s.

Fresh flowers

My absolute favorite part of walking into Trader Joe’s is being greeted by a giant display of fresh, colorful flowers and plants. If you didn’t already know, TJ’s has the most incredible assortment of inexpensive flowers—I’m talking $6 for a dozen roses that will thrive for longer than a week. If your loved one is someone who swoons over a vase full of long stems, skip the overpriced online flowers and grab some delicate tulips, romantic roses, or golden sunflowers.

For the Love of Chocolate Cake

Some may think it’s cliche to buy chocolate on Valentine’s Day, but I beg to differ (honey, if you’re reading this: I still want my sweet treats this year). There’s a reason why we indulge in chocolate as a way to celebrate love—it’s sweet, romantic, and way less expensive than diamonds. If your sweetheart is a serious chocolate lover, you’re going to want to run to TJ’s to grab a heart-shaped For the Love of Chocolate Cake. Picture this: you’re sitting by the fire with some champagne, while nibbling on a delectable two-layer chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate ganache icing. The best part is this dreamy Valentine’s Day date will cost you less than $5—sans the bubbly, of course.

Greeting Cards

Who doesn’t love to receive a love letter on Valentine’s Day? Express your admiration and appreciation for your spouse with one of TJ’s cute or punny cards. I usually make my husband his favorite chocolate pudding pie with a card reminding him of all the reasons I love him. The card selection at TJ’s is pretty spectacular—the one I just bought has an illustration of a strawberry and a piece of toast that says “You’re my jam." Plus, most of the cards start at just 99 cents (which is pretty bonkers considering some cards are almost $10 these days).

Jelly Bean Hearts

There’s something so nostalgic about getting candy for Valentine’s Day. It takes me back to the days where I’d write personal V-Day cards for everyone in my class and pair them with Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses or a bag of candy conversation hearts. Whether you’re 8 or 38, you can’t go wrong with grabbing a few bags of TJ’s Jelly Bean Hearts. These sweet and fruity heart-shaped candies taste like mixed berries and tropical coconut, and they’re perfect for any age.

Almond Ginger Oatmeal Exfoliant Soap

Looking for something other than food to gift to your Valentine? Treat them to a spa-like experience with TJ’s soothing Almond Ginger Oatmeal soap. This French-milled exfoliating soap has been a best-seller since 2002 and will help restore dry skin while enhancing a peaceful and relaxing bath. If you want to really wow your lovebug, make him or her an at-home spa basket with other TJ’s skincare items like some face masks, Tea Tree Tingle bath products, and an Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer.

Mini Sugar Hearts

If your Valentine has a sweet-tooth but doesn’t love chocolate, these Mini Sugar Hearts are an absolute must. The sinful combination of sprinkle cookie and buttery French palmier is hard to resist, so much so that I had to buy a few extra bags (they’re seriously addicting). Include these cute little heart cookies on a dessert tray, dip them into an after-dinner cappuccino, or eat them straight out of the bag in your underwear—either way, they’ll likely be enjoyed in one sitting.

Sweetheart Bark

Some people like milk chocolate. Others like dark chocolate. And then there are those who just want all of the chocolate. If your lover is chocolate-obsessed, TJ’s Finest Sweetheart Chocolate Bark is absolutely necessary. Nothing says “I love you” quite like a giant candy bar made of dark chocolate with milk chocolate gems and a drizzle of rosy-hued white chocolate. (You might want to make sure your valentine doesn’t consume the whole chocolate bark in one night.)
