Double-batch Sunday dinner, then have one less meal to cook during the week.

Isn't it so much nicer when dinner is something you want to cook...rather than something you have to cook? Unfortunately, this hardly ever happens on a weeknight. But you still have room in your life for roasting and stewing―on Sunday.

These six Sunday dinners were all designed with a lazy winter afternoon in mind. They also happen to yield a lot of life-saving leftovers (just pop them in an airtight container and refrigerate or freeze as directed).

Storing the Leftovers

All of the leftovers from these recipes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days or in the freezer for up to three months. Let the frozen leftovers thaw in the refrigerator the night before you serve them.
