Krispy Kreme certainly has no shortage of flavors to choose from, but fans have never had a say in developing them—until now.

Just as Oreo lovers were invited to submit their own cookie flavors with the #MyOreoCreation campaign, the doughnut obsessed now have their turn to control a menu. Beginning Tuesday, January 16, fans across the country can vote for their favorite glazed doughnut flavor at www.voteforglaze.com. Everyone receives one vote per day, and are encouraged to share their choice using the hashtag #VoteForGlaze and tagging @krispykreme on all social media platforms. Voting ends on Monday, January 22.

The four flavors to choose from are blueberry, lemon, caramel, and maple. Krispy Kreme hasn't provided any further detail about the flavors, so you’ll have to use your imagination. We’re betting maple may come out on top, due to the popularity of Canadian maple-glazed doughnuts. But a tart lemon glaze certainly sounds nice, and caramel is always a crowd-favorite. Whatever it may be, the winning flavor will be available at participating Krispy Kreme stores this spring.

“In 2017, our fans responded with tremendous enthusiasm regarding who we innovated around our Original Glazed Doughnut,” Jackie Woodward, chief marketing officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, said in a statement. “To begin this year, we’re tapping that enthusiasm and mobilizing that engagement to make our fans full-fledged innovation partners.”

Woodward is referring to the multiple limited-edition flavors released in 2017. Doughnuts were turned green for St. Patrick’s day, drenched in chocolate glaze for the solar eclipse, and covered in a gingerbread molasses glaze over the holidays.
