About a year ago, I was grabbing a latte at my favorite local coffee shop and the barista asked if I wanted to try it with oat milk. To be quite honest, I didn’t even realize oats could produce milk, but they do. And it’s delicious.

From that initial sip, I was converted into an oat milk lover, so much so that I needed it in my coffee each morning. Don’t get me wrong, I love all types of non-dairy milks but there’s just something about the smooth consistency and silky texture of oat milk that sets it apart from all the rest. And It seemed as if I wasn’t the only one going crazy for oat milk. All of a sudden, every coffee shop (not to mention Trader Joe's!) is offering oat milk in addition to more popular alternatives like almond, coconut, and soy.

Nowadays, it’s easier to enjoy oat milk in more than just your coffee. Countless brands have created delicious oat milk-based products like yogurt and ice cream that’s ideal for anyone who is vegan, lactose-intolerant, and gluten-free. I’ve put together a list of my favorite oat milk products, including some of the tastiest oat milks I’ve ever tried.

1 Oatly Oat Ice Cream

Non-dairy ice cream may not be a new phenomenon, but ice cream made with oat milk—now that’s something to rush to the grocery store for. Oatly is best known for its variety of nutrient-dense oat milks, but the brand's latest product release includes seven Oat Frozen Desserts, ranging from classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate to strawberry, mint chip, coffee, and chocolate chip. Decadent, creamy, and easy to scoop, this may become your new after dinner splurge. But before you sit down to watch your favorite reality show with a pint and a spoon, it’s important to note that this plant-based alternative contains just as many calories and is just as indulgent as the “real deal." If you’re gluten-free, nut-free, vegan, lactose-intolerant or just want to try something new, Oatly Frozen Desserts are definitely worth a try.

If you’re looking to perfect your homemade latte or cappuccino, Minor Figures Oat Milk is the best option for attaining a smooth, frothy beverage. Made in the U.K., this oat milk truly enhances anything it’s added to. Whether you’re pouring yourself a bowl of cereal or making mac and cheese, the consistency of Minor Figures is unlike any other oat milk out there. Try it in smoothies, sauces or even drink it on it’s own.

3 So Delicious Oat Milk Yogurt

What happens when you combine creamy oat milk with fruits, artisanal flavors, and active cultures? You get a tasty, nutritious, dairy-free breakfast, of course. So Delicious created a line of incredibly innovative yogurts that are ideal for a quick breakfast or healthy snack. And with flavors like Strawberry Rhubarb, Sweet Mango, Spiced Pear and Fig, and Triple Berry, your taste buds will never get bored. While there wasn’t a flavor I didn’t love, the Strawberry Rhubarb stole the show, in my opinion. In fact, it’s almost impossible to keep them stocked in my fridge for more than a few days.

Whoever says non-dairy milk can’t be luscious and creamy hasn’t tried Planet Oat. Full-bodied and rich in flavor, this might be the best brand of oat milk I’ve ever tasted. 5 Rise Brewing Co. Oat Milk Latte – Nitro Cold Brew Latte

Do you ever have those days where you need a serious pick-me-up and your regular cup of coffee just isn’t cutting it? Rise Brewing Co.’s Nitro Cold Brew Oat Milk Latte is the mightiest little canned coffee I’ve ever consumed. With 80 milligrams of naturally occurring caffeine per can, this buzzy beverage has almost double the amount of caffeine as a typical cup of joe. I tried Rise Brewing Co.’s oat milk latte on a whim while grocery shopping, and I instantly fell in love with its smooth and creamy texture and mild sweetness. The oat milk also helps to balance the bitterness of the coffee, so you don’t have to worry about it being too strong or bold.
